Bf60x application comes with a MCAPI support. and the SDRAM Bank 0, and 1 are dedicated to for MCAPI/ICC support. and these labels are defined in the LDF as they are used by the run time support.
On BF60x- L2 and L3 memory domains are both accessible by both the Blackfin Cores. So if you map a variable to this memory section it can be modified by both the cores.
For further details about Private Memory/ Share Memory are available in the ADSP_BF60x Hardrware Reference manual Page No 1-6.
Thank u very much sir, I cannot really make out what the"run time support" means. Can u explain that for me?
MCAPI is a processor and operating system agnostic communication protocol used to program multi core devices. During its execution it utilizes a set of structures, variables. These structures and variables are initialized at specified memory locations for ease and efficient execution.
The utilization of these structures and variables are part of the run time support for the MCAPI.
I hope I was able to clear your understanding.
