i just bumped into this field. how can u use DDS chips for sine wave generation around 1KHz and 10mV output? can it be used in analog cct??
Yes, you can use DDS to generate 1kHz at 10mVpk output. The DDS output can be used in analog circuit (say, for signal reference). However, there is a need to program the DDS so a communication interface (ex. SPI) is needed.
You may want to read this FAQ as starting discussion on DDS: http://ez.analog.com/docs/DOC-2369
most of the DDS have the serial port interface to communicate. while reading the datasheet you can capture the clock section , interfaceing coomuncationns ,precautions at the outputs like reconstruction filter etc.
