I have interface the ad7192 with msp430g2553 launchapd but I am the DOUT conitnously high.
We are using your adc in our security and servillance product.
as Chris suggested, scope plots would be useful. One thing to note is that the DOUT/RDY line is tri-stated when CS is high. So, as a quick check, pull CS low. You should see the DOUT/RDY line of the AD7192 pulsing at the default output data rate (50sps).
After powering up the AD7192, I suggest you perform a reset - write 40 1s to the part. This ensures that all registers are at their default values. Then, try to read one of the on-chip registers. This will check whether the read function is working. Following this, write to a register to change its contents, for example, change the output data rate. With CS low, you should see the DOUT/RDY pin pulsing at the new output data rate.
The abov procedure allows you to check that the reand and write functions are working. Following this, you can read conversions.
Can you send us scope shots of your digital interface lines?
Thanks and Best Regards,
