Hello everybody, current problem...

We have the ADV7181C.  I am using the CP to capture a nonstandard monochrome format that resembles RS-170.  I am 2x oversampling it.

If I have video on, I can write to 0xBF[0] and force output of default colors (blue screen of death).

I can set the Free Run Line Length to an appropriate value.

When I have FR_LL set, when I disconnect video I don't get the blue screen.  The output just dies.  It comes back when I plug it back in.

If I set FR_LL to the wrong value, it locks up the same way; when I fix it, it comes back.  This proves that the line length threshold detection is working correctly (or trying very hard).

How do I get my blue screen of death back?
