Is it possible to achieve 1GSPS LVDS data rate and 1X interpolation mode?

I'm using the reference design for AD-FMCOMMS1 running on ML-605.

I was wondering if it's possible to achieve Tx data rate of 983.04MSPS at the input of DAC (DCI clock or equivalently DDS Sampling Frequency) and use DAC in 1X interpolation mode to get the same data rate at output (f_DAC)?


Based on the AD9122 (DAC) datasheet (Table 5), the maximum rate of f_interface (in Word Mode and 1X interpolation) is 1230MSPS and maximum rate of f_DAC is 615MSPS. However, it's not clear for me why f_DAC should be lower than f_interface and not the same when using 1X interpolation?
