Question about PDM Interfacing w/ Single Microphone

I am using the ADAU7002, which is a discrete PDM to I2S converter to interface a PDM microphone to the I2S audio input on my design’s microcontroller. However, I only need a single microphone in the system. As such, since the microphone’s output is high impedance when it is not selected (opposite clock edge), would simply pulling the line high be an acceptable solution? I’m aware that the second channel of I2S data would be junk data, which I am fine with (it’s easy to discard it in software)
