The hardware manual of the ADV8003 doesn´t give the detailed DDR2 memory specifications required for operation.
Would you please provide these specifications and suggested memory part numbers?
I had thought this was in Appendix A but it's apparently not-- I think it must be in another doc. I'll check on it.
The ADV8003_HW_Manual_RevB gives the detailed settings for the external DDR2 memory from page 113 through page 118, but there is no mention of some important parameters of the memory.
Also it would helpful to have some recommended parts numbers.
The Evaluation board schematic published mentions the MT47H64M16, but without the last digits that define the timming cycle.
The only specification details for the DDR2 interface of the ADV8003 are that it was designed and confirmed as being compliant to the JESD79-2F specification. On our evaluation board, we use the Micron part MT47H64M16HR-3 (http://www.micron.com/parts/dram/ddr2-sdram/mt47h64m16hr-3).
Given our experience with our DDR2 design (confirming its DDR2 compliance), we would recommend that you adopt our layout when completing your board.
Thank you very much for the information and recommendation, we would adopt your layout.
