Between ADAU1761 and ADAU1781, are there any difference in serial data port ?

Question asked by Paramecium on Jul 9, 2013

I have question about serial data port.Plese let me cofirm below.

Are there any difference in serial data port between the ADAU1761 and the ADAU1781 ?

When we use the ADAU1761's I2S in slave mode,
is it OK that the serial data clocks BCLK and LRCLK are not synchronous with the MCLK if the PLL is used ?

In the ADAU1761 data sheet,
   ADAU1761 data sheet rev.C
Page 42 SERIAL DATA INPUT/OUTPUT PORTS
If the PLL of the ADAU1761 is not used,
the serial data clocks must be synchronous with the ADAU1761 master clock input.

In the similar device ADAU1781,
   ADAU1781 data sheet rev.B
Page 38 SERIAL DATA INPUT/OUTPUT PORTS
The serial data clocks must be synchronous with the ADAU1781 master clock input.

But I had checked following threads.
The ADAU1761 serial data clocks must be synchronous with the MCLK even if the PLL is used,
and the Master and Slave device need to use same MCLK, I thought ...
is this correct understanding ?
