We are using the ADC7842 to convert DVI and/or VGA to LVDS to drive a 1024x768 LCD display. We have it working with the scripts for 800x600@60 (VID_STD[5:0] set to 000001b) and 1024x768@60 (VID_STD[5:0] set to 001100b) modes for VGA from the ADV7842-VER.5.9c_AVEB.txt file. The only differences between the 800x600@60 and the 1024x768@60 scripts are the VID_STD[5:0] bits and the DLL[5:0] bits. Looking at the hardware manual there is also VID_STD[5:0] set to 000111b for automatic mode. We tried this and it does not work. Are there other register settings changes required to make the automatic mode work?
