I've got a bf518-ezbfd. My question is can I use PFx pin for analong input. If I can, is there any requirements in the input circuit? If I can't, is there any other pins can used for analong input?
If I understood your question, then you are asking if the GPIO pin of processor, which is configured in output mode, can be connected to analog input of AD7266 ADC available on Ez-kit or not, [such that if you toggled this output pin to some square wave, then you should get samples related to square wave]. Please confirm.
If yes, then answer is- yes, you can connect it directly. Because Range pin of ADC is pulled high, meaning it can accept inputs in the range 0V-to-2xVref. And Vref is internally generated 2.5V signal, as REF_SELECT pin is grounded. GP output will be typically 0 or 3.3V
Let me know if you have any questions or find any difficulty. A sample code for that ADC is available in VDSP installation directory.
Thanks a lot!
