Can someone please tell me the equation, or give me a table, for the output code of the AD7714 ADC, as a function of Vref, gain, etc.? I see nothing of the sort in the datasheet.

Hi Ron,

When the ADC is configured for

**unipolar**operation, the output code is straight binary where the zero differential input voltage would result to an output code of all 0's and the full-scale input voltage would result to an output code of all 1's.This is represented in the equation:**Code**= [(2^N) × AIN × gain] / VREFWhen the ADC is configured for

**bipolar**operation, the output code is offset binary where the negative full-scale voltage would result to an output code of all 0's, a zero differential input voltage would result to a mid-scale code, and a positive full-scale input voltage would result to an output code of all 1's. This is represented in the equation:**Code**= [2^(N –1)] × [(AIN × gain/VREF) + 1]*where: AIN = analog input voltage**gain = PGA setting(1 to 128)**VREF = voltage reference**N = number of bits(24)*Thanks and Best Regards,
