we've bougth the ad7732-eval board with RS232. We have an USB-rs232 converter.
When opening the software we need to connect (reset) to the board.
I get a "board timeout" when doing this.
What did I do wrong?
We tried testing the board here using a Win7 64-bit system and had it working properly. This was tested using the RS-232 cable provided in the package.
I also tried testing the board with two USB-serial converters. One USB-serial converter, which was slightly older than the other one, showed the error you have. The newer one worked properly. I'm looking at a driver incompatibility issue with the USB-serial converter. Can you please check this on your system?
Thanks and Best Regards,Chris
We are looking into this. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Can you clarify whether you are running on a 32-bit or a 64-bit system? Have you verified the error using another computer?
we've found 2 systems (both win7-64) to give the same error. An old XP system works fine.
Although suitable for development for now. It would be nice if we were able to use the eval board on our newer systems as well
