Is it feasible to get 1kHz channel spacing using a PLL synthesizer? Seems like the loop filter would have to be really low to do so. I'm trying to generate 50MHz & 50.001MHz signal (1kHz offset) that are phase locked to each other. I've thought about the DDS route, but am now fishing for a PLL solution. If the 50Mhz system doesn't work out, I'm going to go up to 1.5GHz. I'm now thinking that the two frequencies wouldn't actually be phase locked to each other, as the lock times in each circuit may be different?
