Dynamically allocating memory in SDRAM

I am trying to figure out if there is a straight forward way of allocating (using malloc()) a chunk of memory in a specific memory bank - e.g., SDRAM? I know I can use #pragma section() for allocation with static arrays, but I guess declaring it before the pointer definition will only ensure that the pointer storage itself will be in the intended bank, and not the asociated allocated memory.
