Certain ADI Detectors call out in the data sheet that while the input must be AC coupled, "Some of the possibilities include dual-input coupling capacitors, a flux-linked transformer, a printed circuit balun, direct drive from a directional coupler, or a narrow-band impedance matching network." *AD8307/9/13 are examples.
Others only call out coupling capacitors.
Can you describe why that is, and what drives the abbility to be more versitile?
