How to understand the intel hex overhead in the loader file? Is there any document?
what "overhead" are you talking about ? once things are programmed into the hardware, there is no difference in LDR formats.
when a ldr file is created, it has some intel hex overheads as per EE240, apart from load address, flag, data count. The yellow marked region of ldr in EE240. What are these? when I program the ldr into the flash, and perform a flash boot, when and how these headers are ripped off?
as i said, the file formats are only parsed on the host and the target is pure binary
Thanks for your reply.
This is my scenario; I am developing a software to parse and validate a ldr before programming into the flash. This intends me to know the header details to build logic in the parser. I think it is clear now. My software is similar to ldr_viewer.
