Why VDK windows (view->vdk windows) is enabled even with non-vdk projects?
the VDK Debug Windows are available at all times, as the "Active Project" may not be indicative of what is running in the entire system. For example, it may be the case that you are connected to a multiprocessor system, one (or more) of which is using VDK while the other processors in the target are not. If a non-VDK project is "Active" in the Project window, but one of the VDK cores is being viewed, you may need access to the VDK Status/History windows for debug purposes.
At present though, the error message when opening these windows in a non-VDK project is a little cryptic - "VDKStatus.xml: XML Parse error - Version node (4000) not found." - but this is being addressed in the next major release of VisualDSP++.
