Watchdog WDTTRIP

We are using the ADSP21489.

In the WDTTRIP register, if we write a 0 to TRIPVAL, does that mean that the WDT will continually hold the processor in reset upon a single WDT event, or does it mean that the WDT would never hold the processor in reset ?

In other words, is a TRIPVAL of 0 essentially equivalent to 1?

Could you provide example code showing what the processor must do in order to service the WDT?

Thank you,
