Can I use AD2S1210 to interface with an LVDT position sensor?
I added the information about the sensor interface.
The transfer function of the AD2S1210 is basically an arctan (sin amplitude / cosine amplitude) . The transfer function of an LVDT is dependent on the type of LVDT but is linear.
I've attached references for Resolver to Digital Converters. With regards to LVDT interface, we do not have Applications notes for this. On the other hand, We do have parts that would cater to LVDT applications. These are the AD598 and the AD698. In addition to this, we have a working circuit design in which uses the AD598. You can Interface the AD2S1210 with an LVDT position sensor. Just take note that the transfer function of a resolver differs to an LVDT so some post processing of the data is required.

Thanks for your reply. I am new to this staff and really have little knowledge about how to deal with it. I read the datasheet of the AD2S1210 and related application notes however I couldnt figure out how this chip converts the incoming signals to position data or how should I deal with this data. Is there any tutorial, reference design, application note etc. you can suggest to me ?
