Op-Amp Output Saturation

I am trying to find a concise way to present the concept of Op-Amp saturation.  What I mean is this:  for an ideal op-amp when you short the input to the input, the output will be zero volts.  The output is also considered to be saturated. Trying to find the right words to commuincate this fact without getting into the transistor logic.  All insight is appreciated.
