I'm not sure whether to use DMA or non DMA mode for UARTs. I am using a BF537 Ez Kit lite with two UART ports. We plan on interfacing a serial camera on UART1 and a wifi module on UART0. From what I understand DMA mode allows the transfer of data independent from the core, improving performance. However, I would just want to know when is it best to use DMA or non DMA mode? maybe even its pros and cons for my specific application or in general?
