If i use another MCU(not ADI) control AD7612 and 7511 by I2C, i need only to connect the MCU I2C to board's I2C? SCL->PIN30(J4),SDA->PIN28(J4),GND->PIN26(J4)? but it don't work. can you tell me the method?
1) Holding the Blackfin in reset stops any possible I2C transactions on the bus. There appears to be something else wrong with you r I2C access
2) For the -P board you have, the software just runs U-boot and then jumps to the application. The application should not access the I2C bus or do any initializations. As a matter of fact you don't have to hold the processor in reset since that code doesn't access the bus until you enter the command 'startrep'. This allows the application to start processing interrupts.
The application code is available it you sign the appropriate SLA's.
Other then holding the Blackfin in reset, that should have worked. Just make sure you are using the same addresses we use in the script files.
This is what I do when I connect the Ardvaark adapter to the the board.
Thanks, now I can't find the schematic of EVAL-ADV7612-7511P11P , can you provide it?
Try this link.
1.How holding the Blackfin in reset? I have tried pushing SW1 to reset Blackfin,do so,but read/write ad7612/7511 still fail.
2.Will board's firmware auto config or initial the AD7612/7511 when power on? if not, what will the firmware do? do you mind to provide firmware source code?
What is the difference of board's software between the with P board and without Poard? thanks!
The non-P board automatically starts the repeater code. The -P board requires a 'startrep' serial command to start the repeater code. A 'stoprep' will stop the repeater code on both boards. The repeater code (embedded code) handles all the HDCP and format issues as sources and sinks are plugged/unplugged into the board.
Other then this they both have the same code.
1.Is the -P board without keys and the non-P board with keys ?
2.If we buy ADV7612 with keys for mass production, Don't we need buy official keys any more?
1) Yes, ADV7612-P has no keys, ADV7612 has keys
2) You can buy keyed receivers, ADV7612 however you must be an HDCP adopter to do so.
“The -P board requires a 'startrep' serial command to start the repeater code.”I am confused.what should I do to If i use another MCU(not ADI) control AD7612 and 7511 by I2C.I use FPGA via I2C，but it doesn't work.
The commands only work on our eval boards running our software. If you've moved the software to your MCU then something similar should be available.
