Any issues with running an AD524 on +15V for positive supply and -5V for negative supply. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Thank you for your interest on AD524. AD524 won't have any issues running on +15 and -5 for the positive and negative supplies, respectively. One thing you just have to consider is your input common mode range. Input range is dependent on the supply range, therefore shifting your supply range effectively shifts the input range as well. To explain this further, take a look at Figure 5 of the AD524 datasheet. Running on +15V and -5V will have the same performance as running on +10V and -10V, only that the supplies are shifted by +5V. Input voltage range for +/-10V supply is around +7.5V and -7.5V. And since our supplies are shifted by +5V, the same happens to the input range making them +12.5V (or +7.5V+5V) and -2.5V (or -7.5V+5V). To maximize output swing, set your common-mode level at +5V which is the center of +12.5 and -2.5V. The output voltage swing shifts on the same manner as well when using unbalanced supplies.
I hope this helps.
