Booting of BF548 with uImage and Rootfs.tar

We are  using BF548 and buildroot (blackfin-buildroot-2012R2-RC5.tar.bz2). We are trying to boot from sd card and have disabled the "Initial RAM filesystem and RAM disk (initramfs/initrd) support" option in linux-menuconfig hoping that we can reduce the boot time. But when we load uImage and Rootfs.tar in sd card and try to boot, we are getting the following message on the console

Unknown command 'root=/dev/mmcblk0p1' - try 'help'

And the booting is getting struck up after the following message,

[ 0.380000] musb-hdrc: version 6.0, ?dma?, otg (peripheral+host)

[ 0.388000] musb-hdrc: kernel must blacklist external hubs

[ 0.396000] musb-hdrc musb-hdrc: USB OTG mode controller at ffc03c00 using DMA, IRQ 82

Our boot argument is:

bootargs=root=/dev/mmcblk0p1 rw mem=96M max_mem=128M$ clkin_hz=25000000 earlyprintk=serial,uart1,57600 console=tty0 console=ttyBF1,57600

bootcmd=run mmcboot

mmcboot=mmcinfo;mmc rescan 0;fatload mmc 0 $(loadaddr) $(ramfile);run ramargs;run addip;run add_usb_args;bootm

Any suggestions to get over this error??
