4-20 ma V to I converter and Opamp parameters

Usually V to I 4-20 ma converter is designed using OPAMP and Trasnistor and resistors. How OPAMP parameters play a role in accuracy is rarely mentioned. Many times the resistance only considered in transfer function. I think transistor and OPAMP parameters will also play a significant role in accuracy. Pls can anyone explain this?


ADI is having many 4-20 drivers like AD421. It has many highlighted parameters. How to calculate overall error introduced by a driver?


What is the accuracy threshold to go for a DAC based(AD421) or Discrete OPAMP based solution?
