BF537 GP timers do not re-zero upon reconfiguration

The BF537  TIMERX_COUNTER registers are read only. I'd like to be able to disable them and restart them with a zero count value but that does not seem possible. The HRM states: "When enabled, the TIMERx_COUNTER register is reinitialized by hardware based on configuration."

But reinitialization does not appear to include re-zeroing per my test results. It seems once they start, the only way they can be manually zero'd is to reset the processor. Can you confirm or correct me? Thanks, -Phil
