How to calculate the conversion time in AD8436? Which parameters need to be considered for calculating it?
The AD8436 settling time is constant regardless to its inputs. However, the external Cave capacitor affects the overall transition time as it forms an RC network with the internal 5kohm resistor. Depending on the value of the Cave, the overall time to settle will be computed as an ordinary charging/discharging of the Cave. Please see Figure 30 of the AD8436 on how the Cave affects the settling time.
Thank you for your interest in AD8436. AD8436 has no "conversion time" like the conversion time in ADCs. However, AD8436 has a specification called Settling Time which is a measure of how fast the output settles to a certain percentage of error from the time the RMS input was applied. Is this what you need?
