The datasheet for the AD9912 specs the CMOS Output Driver frequency range as minimum 8KHz to maximum of 40MHZ. I need to output a frequency of 7KHz, I wanted to double check to see if this is possible? I don't understand why the minimum is 8KHz.
I'm not sure how the 8Khz minimum CMOS output frequency manifested either. As long as there's a valid FDBK input signal, I don't see the CMOS output being frequency limited by 8kHz. So, I think operating down to 7kHz or lower is OK.
Although I cannot explain the reason why the minimum is 8 Khz, but we tried the setup in the lab. The output waveform is shown below, (the attachment contains the original image). The 7Khz signal was achieved by using the S-Divider output with a FDBK_IN freq of 10MHz and a divider value of 1428.
