Hello all,

I have been using Blackfins for a number of years now buit I am new to Matlab's Link for Analog Devices VisualDSP++® tool.

I have connected to VDSP and started an EZ-KIT USB seesion for the 533 device. every time I try to run one of the basic demos in matlab I am getting the follwing:

The 'Link for Analog Devices VisualDSP++' provides a direct
connection between MATLAB and a session, specific to a DSP
processor, in VisualDSP++ IDDE.  This provides a mechanism for
controlling and manipulating an embedded application using the
full computational power of MATLAB. This can be used to assist
DSP debugging and development. Another possible use is for
creation of MATLAB scripts for verification and testing of
algorithms that exist in their final implementation on an
  actual DSP target.

Before discussing the methods available with the link object,
it's necessary to select a session.  When the link is created,
it is specific to a particular DSP processor targeted by that
session, so selection is required before proceeding.

NOTE: Please make sure that VisualDSP++ IDDE is configured for
at least one valid session. If it is not, please first create
a valid session in VisualDSP++ IDDE and then continue from here.

--- Press any key to continue ---
The 'Link for Analog Devices VisualDSP++(R)' provides a command
line tool 'listsessions' for listing sessions configured in
VisualDSP++ IDDE. For scripting, this command can return a
structure or a cell array of structures, which can be applied
programmatically to select a particular session.

--- Press any key to continue:  listsessions ---

    session_list = listsessions

    echo off

Can anyone help with this, or indeed with any similar errors while using the Link for Analog Devices VisualDSP++® tool.

I am also haviing troulbe getting the

Link for Analog Devices VisualDSP++® tool User's Guide.

Any helpp would be greatly apprecieted

Thanks in advance

PS. Can any tell me if it is even worthwile trying to use the Link for Analog Devices VisualDSP++® tool.???????
