Can anyone explain how I could boot from the Flash memory on the DSP so it can behave as a stand alone device without the need of Visual DSP ++?
For a quick-start guide, I recommend reading the readme.txt that goes with the Power On Self Test, as this describes the steps to configure the project to produce a boot stream output, as well as using the flash programmer utility to burn the boot stream to flash on the target. Note that if you are using a custom target - rather than an EZ-KIT Lite - and your flash part differs from the flash part(s) on the EZ-KIT Lite, you would need a custom Flash Programmer Driver that matches the specification of the flash part on your target.
