Hi all, does Sigma Studio support anti noise apllication? application should be automotive to cacel noise created by car/engine, so about 20Hz to 10kHz? Which DSP and Codec should be used?
The short answer is, no. According to this Wikipedia article, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Active_noise_control
noise cancellation in a large (relative to the noise wavelengths), three-dimensional space requires use of the FFT. The streaming architecture of SigmaDSPs is generally not well-suited for frequency-domain techniques like the FFT -- please see Brett G's doc, http://ez.analog.com/docs/DOC-1671
Despite this, SigmaDSPs can handle certain anti-noise techniques. For example, the ADAU1772 is optimized for use in noise-cancelling headphones. Also available in SigmaStudio are some microphone-array noise reduction algorithms usable with the high-end SigmaDSP cores.
