I have an application where we need to perform a connectivity test.

We have access to the I2C inputs to both chips as well as the hsync, vsync, de, vclk,

and video data lines.

The idea that we currently have is to loop (plug in) an HDMI cable from the ADV7511 to the ADV7842 and operate the hsync, vsync, de,

vclk, and video data pins of the ADV7511 to transmit a known HDMI frame having known video data content and then monitor the same pins on the ADV7842 to see if the "sent frame" that was received by the ADV7842.

Is that scenario possible?

If yes, do you have a "recipe" that involves the pins that I mentioned above?
