BF537 with FPGA extender - PPI or MDMA?

Hi,

I am working on a way to transmit to and from the FPGA. I am able to transmit data onto the FPGA through PPI, but not able to do the same using PPI in Rx mode. The code snippet for PPI in RX mode is :

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#define NUMBER_OF_SAMPLES 8

...

*pPORTG_FER = 0xFFFF;

*pPORT_MUX = 0x0000;

*pPORTF_FER = 0x8300;

*pPPI_CONTROL = 0x805C;

*pPPI_COUNT = NUMBER_OF_SAMPLES - 1 ;

*pDMA0_CONFIG = 0x1086;

*pDMA0_START_ADDR = rcv_data;

*pDMA0_X_COUNT = NUMBER_OF_SAMPLES;

*pDMA0_X_MODIFY = 0x0001;

*pTIMER0_CONFIG = 0x02A9;

          *pTIMER0_WIDTH = 8;

          *pTIMER0_PERIOD = 20;

*pDMA0_CONFIG |= 0x1;

            *pPPI_CONTROL |= 0x1;

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is there anything wrong in the configurations?

Also can i use a direct memory transfer to transfer data from external memory to the FPGA. Do i need to take care of EBIU configurations? Or can I simply use a MDMA transfer?

Thanks in advance.
