hi , I need to your help . I designed AD7606 Board follow EVAL_AD7606,but it's not work. My schematic is Attached .
I'm a student in University and a novice in this work. This is a part of project graduation. please help me. Thanks you.
I have connect CONVSTA PIN and CONVSTB PIN together . All signal seem datasheet ,but i don't check output voltage . Now , I 'm checking.
We would be able to help you better if you can provide us more details as to the problems you encounter. What output are you seeing? Have you checked supply and reference pins to see if levels are as per datasheet? Have you given the part a reset pulse after power up? This is needed to ensure that it is configured in the correct mode of operation. Are you seeing the correct voltage on the REFCAPx and REGCAP pins?
You may also check other discussions on AD7606 in this community and see if somebody has encountered a similar problem.
Vin 4.99 V
Vdrive 3.3 V
REFCAB AB 4.42V
R6 and R4 is removed .(IN my Schematic)
Standby = 1; reset =0;
when CONVST = 0;
Busy =0 ;
They 're no response although i change CONVEST to ''0'' ''1'' all the time.
reset = 1 FIRTDATA =0
reset = 0 FIRSTDATA = 2.35V
input signal pin 1.43V
Output signal pin 0.0 V
but FISRTDATA 2.35 V
what should i do ?
Thanks you for your help.
I have a few clarifications:
1. Is Vin 4.99 V your AVcc?
2. What meter did you use to measure these voltages?
It will be helpful if you can share scope shots of the digital signals CONVST, BUSY, DATA, FRSTDATA, /CS and /RD.
1. yes, It's AVCC.
2. Digital meter 3 digit
How will FRSTDATA signal be when AD7606 do not operate ?
I will show the signal for you later.
i have already shown signal. BUSY and FRSTDATA is not correct .
I try to program(DSPIC) but it's not work. could you tell me what wrong is ?
Have you given the part a RESET after power-up? I do not see any activity on the RESET line in your scope shots. As stated in the datasheet, after supplies are applied to the AD7606, a RESET should be applied to the AD7606 to ensure that it is configured for the correct mode of operation. Please check timing diagrams on page 9 of the AD7606 datasheet.
Hope this helps.
I have found the problem already .
The problem is CONVSTB PIN, I don't connect it .
That's good to hear. So now that you've checked your CONVSTB connection, your board is working as expected?
