Visual DSP++ programming through SPI blaster

My customer is routinely able to generate an LDR file when modifying his DSP projects. They use this file to remotely program the flash memory via the DSP.

Occasionally, they need to program the flash directly on the board through an SPI blaster. This works fine with the given .Hex file that they have.   His question is: how does he create a HEX file for his latest designs? Is there a conversion from LDR? Or is there a project options setting to accomplish this?

One person I spoke with used the method of creating the LDR file, load it using their remote download, then using the SPI Flash programmer to read the .HEX file off the flash. This sounds cumbersome.

Thanks for any tips,
