Can the on board ADC on ADBF592 EZ kit lite be used as a general purpose ADC or is it only for audio codec? If it can be used for general purpose, can anyone give me a sample code for testing it??
Thanks in advance!
The ADC part of codec can be used for general purpose ADC application, but you should first investigate if it can satisfy your application requirements. Please go through the datasheet of device to understand ADC spec of codec.
couple of things I can point is- it can support only audio sampling rates such as 96 kHz, 88.2 kHz, 48 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 32 kHz, 24 kHz, 22.05 kHz, 16 kHz, 12 kHz, 11.025 kHz, and 8 kHz. Another thing, the input signal level should be within the limit spcified in datasheet, (which is typically 1Vrms).
Regarding example code, the audio-talkthrogh code for BF592 EZ-KIT is posted in the following thread:
You may want to check SPORT receive configuration for the ADC part.
