What is SPI Controller? Can it be used to control an AD6649 eval board in place of Visual Analog?
That is correct, you need both pieces of software.
SPI Controller is used to communicate with our high speed ADC products via SPI to configure the various features and functions of the ADC listed in the memory map on the product's data sheet. Visual Analog is the software that is used to read in the output data of the ADC and provide an FFT (and other graphs) of the ADC output. The function of the two pieces of software is different. The one is for controlling the setup of the part (SPIController) and the other (Visual Analog) is for reading the output results of the part. Hope this helps.
Thanks! So I need both?
