what is the difference between 21489-EZ-Board and 21489 EZ-KIT Lite?and what is the function of their daughter board?
The 21489 EZ-KIT Lite and EZ-Board are two different packages for the same development board. The difference between the packages are the additional accessories included.
On our newer EZ-KITs, such as the 21489 EZ-Board, the on-board debug interface provided with the EZ-KIT Lite was extracted from the board and is provided as a separate "Stand-Alone Debug Agent" (SADA) board which only comes in the "EZ-KIT Lite" variant; it is not included in the "EZ-Board" package. This SADA is used to enable debugging of the target board without the need for another JTAG emulator.
This allows us to provide two options for customers; the EZ-Board contains just the evaluation board, and is intended for customers who already have a JTAG Emulator (USB-ICE, HPUSB-ICE, or even already have a SADA board from another EZ-KIT Lite), and therefore have no need for the on-board debug interface. The EZ-KIT Lite package is also provided for customers who do not have a JTAG emulator/SADA board already, and includes Evaluation Board together with the SADA board, as well as Ethernet, audio and USB cables.
