Please help to respond to the below query uregntly.
If we configure the HDMI receiver ADV7611 to receive only 480p (720x480 @60Hz or 640x480p) input, then please confirm, if all the HDMI transmitter devices (in any Phones or portable devices) can read this resolution from EDID (through DDC) and send the Video in 480p only (by downscaling internal to the Transmitter from HD to 480p). Is this assumption right?
If any HDMI transmitter in a device (Product) is said to be HDMI compatible (or Compliant), then Should this HDMI Source support all the Output resolutions (including 480p) mandatorily as suggested by HDMI standard?
Please help to confirm on this.
Also, the digital Output port of the ADV7611 is configured to 8-bit SDR YCbCr 4:2:2 mode to send the 480p digital video to an 8-bit Video port of a processor (which then drives the LCD Display with a resolution of 480x800)
