The specs for the ADIS16385 (Table 1) indicate that linear-g bias compensation is turned on (MSC_CTRL = 1). However, the power-on default for the 17385 is linear-g bias compensation off (MSC_CTRL = 0).
If the linear-g bias compensation for gyros improves the specification why is it not the default setting ? And, why is there even an option to turn it off ? Can it worsen the gyro specs under some circumstances ?
