how much power does the device deliver?
The device itself delivers current, the peak value of which is programmable. The configuration of the evaluation board results in approximately +0.6 dBm into a 50 ohm load when the Auxiliary DAC (output current control) is at mid-scale.
i want to design a transmitter using AD9910_PCBZ board signal by up-converting its frequency, what are the important points i have to keep in mind before designing, i have provided the rough design below, will this work or do i have to make any changes the main question is can i directly connect the J4 output of AD9910_PCBZ board to power amplifier??
Actually, yes you can directly connect the J4 output of AD9910_PCBZ board to a power amplifier. But since J4 is terminated as an SMA connector, you have to do some modification in order to connect it to a power amplifier without exposing the connections much to EMI.
However, as mentioned in this thread http://ez.analog.com/message/21003#21003, we don't recommend using the evaluation board in a system. We develop and provide eval boards to support the sales of our individual devices, not as a standalone product.
