No Color in Square Pixel Mode

I am using the ADV7393 with a CCIR656, YCrCb input video stream.  When I program it in the normal 720 pixel / 1440 clock mode, I am able to see color on the CVBS output of DAC1.  However, when I change the programming and the input data stream to the Square Pixel 640 pixel / 1280 clock mode, all I get is a monochrome image even though the video stream contains the same color information as in the normal CCIR656 mode.

With interline time in the Normal Mode the total line length is 1716 clocks @ 27Mhz, while it is 1560 clocks at 24.5454Mhz in the Square Pixel Mode.

One additional piece of information is that I do not have the EXT_LF filter components installed and if I turn on the PLL the output video gets very screwy in both modes.   I don't know if this is related or not.

The following are the commands that I send in each mode.

ADV7393 setup for 640, Square Pixel Mode

x"00",x"12"

x"01",x"00"

x"8d",x"5a"

x"8e",x"55"

x"8f",x"25"

x"87",x"00"

ADV7393 setup for 730 Pixel Mode

------------------------

x"17",x"02"

x"00",x"10"

x"01",x"00"

x"80",x"10"

x"82",x"cb"

x"84",x"00"

Any assistance that you might provide will be greatly appreciated.

Bill
