Use current channel A of ADE7953 to monitor multiple loads via multiplexer

On our new product, we use ADE7953 metering IC. There are multiple loads are connected to current channel A through a multiplexer. MCU determines which load is connected to ADE7953. For the current RMS reading, since register IRMSA stores accumulated value, it is never being reset to zero. So in order to get the real and accurate value of a load, as an estimate, how long should MCU wait after switching from one load to the other, any suggestion? Here term "wait", I mean I must skip certain number of zero crossing point IRMS readings after the switch.

I noticed that on the datasheet, revision A, page 23, section ROOT MEAN SQUARE MEASUREMENT, it mention 200 ms settling time. I am not sure if it is applied on power up (one time) only or not.

Thank you very much in advance for the help.
