I am using ADM101. It is mentioned in the datasheet that the SD pin disables the chip and the input stays active.
My question is: when SD is in "1" (disable mode) the Tout pin is in tri state? It is not clear in the datasheet output state
I don't believe the Tout pin will be in tri state mode when disabled, it should be pulled to ground.
I wanted to connect the Tout pin to another ADM101 Tout pin (in parallel) and by controlling the ADM101 SD pin to select which ADM101 is active and avoid jumpers. does it possible?
I don't think it is possible, I'm pretty sure the Tout pin will be pulled to ground. I haven't been able to find more details on this particular part but I know some of the other ADI parts with a similar SD function don't tri-state the Tout pin. So if you connect the Tout pins in parallel they will all be pulled low.
I can probably get these parts in about a week to check it out for sure in the lab. If you have parts already yourself you may be able to check quicker.
No need for further investigation.
I will us jumpers instead (pity)
Thanks for the fast respond.
