3D video generation from two composite sources

Hi guys,

I'm chasing a couple of solutions and I'm working above my pay grade at the moment!

First problem:

Looking at taking video from two composite video inputs, combining them and spitting out a single composite video in side by side format.  See below.

Second problem:

Looking at converting a composite video input PAL or NTSC (Ideally switchable) into a HDMI output (1.4 I think) that can be detected by a HDTV as 3D in Side by Side mode.  I need to output 1920x1080p @ 60Hz Side-by-Side.

I'm trying to send two video streams over the one composite video cable and then upconverting to HDMI.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Are there any eval boards that would get me started? Is anyone interested in a paid project?

Cheers,

James
