Level Shifting from 5V to 24V with ADG3123?

For an interface from standard 5V logic to industrial field bus adapters with 24V logic I would like to design a compact 16 channel level shifter with active drivers on the 24V side (5V input to 24V output).

I found the ADG3123 chip which seems to focus on LCD panel driver applications. In this context the specification in the data sheet operates with a low level output voltage which is negative with respect to GND on the input side.

My desired application would rather use a common GND voltage for both, input and output side (i.e. GND and VSS connected together). The "absolute maximum ratings" allow such a configuration. However, it does not seem to be the standard application.


Does anybody have experience with the ADG3123 regarding such an application? Could this device be used for an interface like this?


The maximum current drawn on each output channel would be 3mA (8x 3mA worst case output current for the device in total). Maximum frequency would be 1kHz.
