I began designing a high end mixing console several years ago. I had to stop working on it for a while, but I've come back to it only to find that some of the components I spec'd are now obsolete. I'm trying to update everything little by little and so I'm starting with the mute circuits which used an SSM2412 Analog Switch.
Does anyone know of a decent replacement for ADI's SSM2412 Analog Switch?
These had a max V of +/- 20V and a typical Ron of 60 ohms. They have "make before break" and a built in ramp for the control, so switching was silent.
I used these in a speaker switching design for a very picky studio owner and he was very pleased.
The mixer design calls for muting a balanced bus, so close Ron matching is important.
