How do you connect meters for different single phase configurations?
This is the most basic single phase connection configuration. It just has 2 wires: a phase and a neutral. It uses resistive shunt as a current sensor.
The figure below shows an anti-tamper connection diagram which uses a current transformer as well for tamper detection.
Hi, I have a question about it, so you connect the phase with gnd? I made a design and when I measure with the tester what I obtain is that phase its directly connected to GND, it is that ok? Thanks!
I believe Nchandra answered your question here. In summary the phase will be connected to gnd of the system, that is ok but just make sure that any interface to the board and the board itself has isolation to protect anything around it. The actual metering part using the shunt will be floating at the line voltage.
