Use AD193x driver for AD1974

Hi,

I'm planning to connect the AD1974 to a Linux-Board (Beaglebone). I did not find any drivers for the AD1974 but for the AD193x series. Since I think that the AD1974 is exactly like the AD1938 (without the DAC section) I figure that the driver could be easily modified.

- Can I simply delete all DAC related structs and functions or will this cause trouble?

In the driver documentation I only see I2S and PCM support, however, I'd like to use TDM.

- Is TDM supported by the AD193x driver?

In the kernel sources I stumbled upon the file /sound/soc/blackfin/bf5xx-ad193x.c.

- I'm not going to use the Blackfin but will I need a similar file (e.g beaglebone-ad193x.c)?

Thanks,

Chris
