I am using an ADV7180 connected to a ADV212 with an NTSC Video Source. The ADV212 is outputting interlaced data which we are de-interlacing in our own real-time video display software.
Originally I had the Code FIFO Threshold set to 4 16-bit words and video motion seemed pretty smooth. I recently tried changing it to 8 16-bit words and now the motion is somewhat jerky.
It could be the way our software is handling things, but I thought I would ask the question.
What effect if any does the Code FIFO Threshold setting have on the smoothness of real-time video display?
